What is MortgageOffender?
Banks and Lenders are foreclosing and taking ownership of properties in record numbers and leaving families homeless and stranded all across the nation.
MortgageOffender allows you to post your comments and experiences with your bank or lender when you contact them to modify or re-negotiate loans. MortgageOffender ranks lenders based on the number of negative or positive comments by users and are placed in either a MortgageOffender HALL OF FAME OR HALL OF SHAME. It’s that simple.
Would my name and address be displayed for everyone to see? How is my personal information protected?
Your personal information will NOT be displayed with your posting. You can create a unique username that may not be apparent to your neighbors or friends. However, when sending a petition to your Senator or the Whitehouse, your name will appear on the email.
What if the property is already foreclosed?
MortgageOffender recognizes that not every mortgage holder will benefit from the President’s proposal. MortgageOffender would still request that you submit your experience when you contacted them about the possibility of saving your mortgage.
How do I register or submit my experience about my Bank or Lender?
Joining is simple, quick and free! From any page, click Join Now in the top right-hand corner. Next you will be asked to create a username, choose a password, enter the security code and check the box agreeing to the "Terms of Use". Click "Submit" and you will be instantly registered and able to post comments – it's that simple!
How do I view my account?
If you've already registered, please click on the Sign In link located in the top right corner. At the Sign In page please enter the user name or email address you signed up with along with your password and click the "Login" button. Once signed in, you can click on the "My Account" link in the upper navigation bar and you'll be taken directly to your account.
How do I post a video to the site?
It is easy. Record your story and follow the directions to upload your video on the site.
Do I have to register in order to post comments and experiences?
After you login, another page will open giving you the opportunity to comment about your experiences with your bank or lender. By answering a few questions, we will be able to rank your Lender, and place them where they belong – MORTGAGEOFFENDER HALL OF FAME OR HALL OF SHAME.
• Answer a few questions about your Lender by placing a checkmark in the appropriate boxes about your Lender, type of loan, terms of the loan etc.
• Type in your comments about your experience with your lender.
• Rank your experience – whether positive or negative by placing a checkmark in the box next to the Lender’s name
• Select whether or not you would recommend this Lender to anyone you know to service their mortgage
• Agree to the MortgageOffender "Terms of Use" and click submit.
