Teizue Gayflor 2006-2007  (Miss Africa USA - From Liberia)

Miss Teizue Gayflor hails from the Republic of Liberia. She was crowned Miss Africa USA in Oct 2006 at the Atrium in Stone Mountain Georgia, after an elaborate pageant showcase involving up to 21 delegates from different countries in Africa. For the first time, the pageant took on contestants from different States across the United States of America.  Miss Teizue charmed the Judges and wowed the audience with her stage performances. She was crowned infront of an audience of over 800 guests who packed the Atrium on pageant night.

Miss Teizue made several appearances in support of community charity events across the country. She was invited to speak at various events raising funds for charities.

Miss Teizue was determined to carry out her platform which was " To Promote Education and Peace in Liberia".
Miss Teizue won a sponsored trip to Liberia and she visited Liberia in 2007.
She visited several schools in Monrovia and schools in the outskirts where she donated reading materials
for school children.  While visiting schools, she was able to speak to school children across the board to take their education seriously so they can have a successful future.

She appealed to sponsors and donors who supported her to purchase ceiling fans for congested classrooms in Liberia. These fans were installed in the classrooms to help improve the learning environment for school children.

Miss Teizue Gayflor also volunteered at different orphanages in Liberia where she served orphans who had lost
their parents in the civil war that destroyed Liberia over many years.  She also seized the opportunity while
touring Liberia to preach the message of peace and reconciliation in Liberia. She was interviewed by National radio and TV stations in Liberia.

During her short stay in Liberia, she met with the Vice President of Liberia and informed him of her mission in the
country as Miss Africa USA. The Vice President was full of admiration for Teizue and encouraged her to keep doing the good work.
